INDIANA SPRING
Max and I packed up and headed for the beach by my parents' home yesterday. There's a little beach that I've been going to since I was a teenager, and this was the first time I've taken Max. It was a beautiful 70 degree day but we were some of the only people on the beach. The water was obviously freeeeeezing, so we didn't do any swimming; we just brought a ton of diggers and trucks and dug in the sand for hours.
It was a nice little preview of what most of our days will probably look like in New Zealand....no agenda, just a lot of quality time together. After working full time since Max was 5 months old, I'm so thankful for days like these. I'll probably pick up some work once we're settled into NZ but I will have a few months (at least) of hanging out with my son! HOORAY!
Well, we have a couple more weeks in Indiana before we make the big move. I hope we get a few more 70 degree days sprinkled in there because that was a treat.
