LEAF TRANSFER

I've been trying to compile a list of fun indoor activities. Once winter hits, we are bound to have some snow days. And as much as I love snuggling up with some popcorn and a movie, Max can only take so much screen time in a day before he turns into a grumpy TV zombie. We're also trying to limit screen time because, well, we all get grumpy if we're in front of a screen all day.

So I stumbled upon a classic autumn / early winter activity. Leaf transfers!! It's so simple. You only need:

  • some leaves

  • crayons

  • paper

First off, unwrap some crayons. You'll need to use the long, flat side for this. Put your leaf under the paper on a hard surface. We did it straight on our hardwood floors and it worked great. Start coloring and you'll see the "skeleton" of your leaf come through! It's really quite fun and so easy, even for toddlers.
