ADVENT CALENDAR

Well, it's that time of year again! After Thanksgiving, our gears switch over to Christmas festivities. One of my favorite traditions is doing an advent calendar. I bought this beautiful one from Ferm Living and I'm so excited to stuff it full of little toys and Christmas activities. 

I bought a few little Matchbox cars and Max's favorite CARS characters, along with a miniature coloring book and some trinkets from the Target $1 section. I also have a few Christmas activities hidden in there. Some of these activities include:

  • drinking hot chocolate

  • baking cookies

  • watching a Christmas movie

  • sledding

  • decorating the tree

  • reading a Christmas book

  • making paper snowflakes

It's so fun to get into the Christmas spirit, especially with Max around to start traditions with. We're picking out a Christmas tree next weekend (on a steam train!), and then it will really start to feel like Christmas.
