Why Grandparents Should Join in Your Family Session

Cornwall Park Extended Family Session in Auckland

I was lucky enough to photograph this sweet family’s reunion!! This was the first time these grandparents have met their 18 month old grandson and what a special time it was. We went to Cornwall Park in Auckland on a beauuuutiful afternoon and snapped some really special moments on film. Jules was so excited to explore, pick flowers, watch the sheep and have a quick snack break in the shade.

Having grandparents at your session is a perfect opportunity to document the legacy of your family.

Grandparents are rarely in the photos! This is a great way to get professional photos of your parents or in-laws.

Having professional photos of the older generations of your family is extremely special. Especially getting them in the photos with your children - these photos are priceless, especially as time goes by!

With my parents living in America and my family & I living in New Zealand, I am always so honoured to capture extended families. I know how special it is to get everyone together, especially internationally. I am always up for capturing however many family members you want! We always have a good time and I encourage you all to simply enjoy your time together.

Not sure where to have your family session? I rounded up a few of my favourite Auckland locations in a blog post : What Location Should We Choose?
